For us Terry its 1 for each of those standing (so UKIP, Labour, Conservatives, TUSC, Lib Dems and Greens) of the unaddressed, then usually 1 or 2 addressed ones to the majority of households for Labour and Conservatives.

We've had one lot so far, labour.
In another office heard they were being paid 3p per item, addressed mail that came down as d2d.
Went and asked gaffa (useless so and so at the best of times) and he said he knew nowt of it.

Pushed for more info from other postie in other office who had taken the exact same leaflet as me,
"yes we are definitely paid 3p for that s*** see your union bloke".

I did, and after consulting the other office, said yep, we are meant to be paid.

Why would my manager plead total ignorance,
and where the heck was the money going if not to us posties that had delivered the darn stuff??

After more than 25 years in RM, I am in total despair at how things are now,

and finally see a light at the end of my tunnel with EVR.

I am just so sorry and so sad at how the company has become.

Addressed mail as D2D

There is some political stuff that came as D2Ds and we don't get paid for them. They are easy to spot because they come with a specific amount to individual walks and have a D2D sheet.

Any election material (poll cards included) is paid and again they are easy to spot as they are not walk specific, there is no D2D control sheet and they should have "Election communication" displayed on them somewhere. Then you have the addressed ones which again are easy to spot as they usually come separately to all the other manual mail and are specific to parties, as far as know, no political material can be sent during this time unless they are for the Election.

The Tories have sent out a D2D and addressed letters using UK Mail!

1200 pollcards and 200 Lib Dem addressed flyers so far. As people have said, the rest in D2D format.

We had all poll cards , ldems twice, labour twice and expecting more. At 3.5p each it's worth an extra hour prep then take where you are going over 3 days.

Yes, the DIMs make the rules up as they go. It's great for them on busy days as you can't use paid leaflets as a reason not to lapse but more importantly can't claim extending OT when delivering paid material. The DIM giving you longer covers his butt for more delivery days and gives him ammunition for longer to use against you.
