parking outside enquiry office

Does anyone know if anything can be done about illegal parking outside our RM delivery office? Its very clearly marked on the tarmac and by signs saying parking for Royal Mail/Post Office customers only. Its illegally used by people either shopping in town or shopping at the supermarket next door. This morning even the builders working on a site next door even parked there. Our managers seem reluctant to do anything about it. On several occasions staff have been reversed into whilst in their vans waiting to exit the premises and some staff (my self included) have been hit whilst going out on delivery with our HCTs. As a member of staff who also works in the enquiry office on site, its very frustrating when members of the public complain that they had no where to park to collect or send a item because our car park is full.

You say its illegal - but is it an enforceable parking restriction if it is then call the local council parking enforcement team.

If its a private car parking location then if the managers are not doing anything then there isn't much anyone can do. Even if there is a tow away firm I think they have to be informed by management to enforce it anyway.
