type 1 diabetes and asking for reasonable adjustments

Hi, have recently lost a float job and been made a reserve at my office, am asking for reasonable adjustments and going through occupational health to see if they can somehow put me on jobs with regular toilet stops and maybe be put as the non driver where possible so I get time in between loops to check my blood sugar level and gave a snack as being the driver I have no time to stop especially as I don't know many rounds well yet, it's all rushing about as you well know and at least on my float jobs I worked alone and could stop to eat anytime I wanted without it impacting on anyone else's time, feeling really pressured to put my health 2nd and work 1st. Any suggestions anyone please.

Atos seem not to be too bad but try and get as much info as possible before committing to anything mate.

You will maybe have to check with dvla..but that depends on how your diabetes affect your driving,meds etc

It more than likely won't but always check and recheck.

You should not have to feel pressured, this raises your blood pressure ,(known as essential hypertension) ,which is bad on its own, if you need to check your sugar,so be it,as I have type 1 as well and diabetes is dangerous enough as it is,so they are obliged to look after you under equality legislation anyway.

I have learned to just take my time and check my sugars and snack when I need to snack and go to a toilet whenever I need to go and if I can't complete in my time then I will just have to take mail back
