This election

Post by feduppostie »

You don't seriously think this is a proper election do you?

This is Billy 'I'll take my holiday as pay' Hayes deciding he has had enough of the gravy train and needs to retire and pretending to call an election so Dave Ward can take over for more of the same

I say let's all vote for Billy and make the fecker stay and earn his 'holiday pay'

who is with me?

My Twitter feed is full of senior officials aligning there selves with Dave Ward.
Well who wants to back a looser I here you say. :speak to the hand
It looks like very much the status quo will remain with when as seems likely Dave Ward takes over he's not fooling me its been the Billy and Dave show for a longtime.
Surely there is someone on the Executive Council who should be putting themselves forward as an alternative to the Brown/Blair pack.

Well some would say those two have been on trial for a few years now,and we know enough about them to judge. :whistle

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Met Dave Ward a couple of months ago, he basically talked a load of pish, claiming that our managers had a tough job and were hard done by, that would be the same managers who have been bullying his members incessantly for the last 5 years . I am one of the few in my office who do the job properly and don't get any backing from the union when the managers bully me.

Unless both Billy and Dave are going to visit EVERY unit within Royal Mail, BT, Virgin, POL and all the other companies which the CWU are recognised or Active in then I am afraid thats an accurate description of what an Election is.

Incidentally I have met both, and other leaders within the Union. My own preference in the 2 that have put their names forward I won't declare yet, but my own preference has not declared any interest in standing.

Yes I do the job properly.

Also a jury has to be at least in the presence of the accused thats why its a trial. To be honest not sure why you posted, people have to judge the merits of their elected representatives on little information and from a distance, and their own preconceptions, biais and politics will no doubt help form that judgement. Thats the way of a democratic society, warts and all. Even your own bias showed when you posted your comment.

Some might say the fact we haven't met these twp gents is the problem

I'll ask the union to look into it - oh wait :funneh

And you really shouldn't assume - assume we haven't met them, assume we don't do the job properly
