Employee Survey 2015 coming soon
https://www.myroyalmail.com/news/nation ... iews-count" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This year’s annual employee survey launches on Monday 9 March.
The survey is an opportunity for everyone in the business to give their views on what it’s like to work for Royal Mail Group. Last year 85% of all employees took part in the survey, and this year we’d like to hear from even more of you. We want to know what’s important to employees so action and improvements can be made.
The survey will run from Monday 9 March until Friday 27 March. Run by independent research company Ipsos MORI, all responses will be completely confidential.
Support materials will be sent to managers responsible for a survey action plan this week.
Look out for more details on the survey soon.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

and that is why nothing will ever get done, if you throw it in the bin, make sure, they know about, the bullying and harrassement by managers, when you do not want to lapse, the low morale of offices up and down the country, revisions that have gone in that do not work, that is the only way to change things!!!

Re: Employee Survey 2015 coming soon
The reason why people don't bother is because nothing gets done, you've got more chance of winning £999,999,999,999,999 in the Euromillions then of something ever getting done whether the HYS is filled in or notosgoody1970 wrote:and that is why nothing will ever get done, if you throw it in the bin, make sure, they know about, the bullying and harrassement by managers, when you do not want to lapse, the low morale of offices up and down the country, revisions that have gone in that do not work, that is the only way to change things!!!

Re: Employee Survey 2015 coming soon
The problem we have had in the past is that we are pressured to complete the surveys in WTLL with a manager breathing over our shoulder. Not a good thing if you are wanting to write critical comments.

Will it be compulsory like our Dom told everyone last year and has to be filled in during wtll whilst she provided tea and biscuits?? Some people are so gullible.

Re: Employee Survey 2015 coming soon
Nothing gets done because not enough people are filling it in. I can let you know, that, if enough people fill it in and the same issues arise in most of the surveys, things DO get done. I was of the same opinion too. Until that last survey. We had a manager removed from our office because of her bullying and harassment and a fixed team of managers installed instead of the rotation we used to always have to put up with. People complained that there were not enough opportunities to progress, we have had 2 people from within the unit promoted to line managers. We also raised the point of not being listened too, and no consistancy and also concerns regarding the walks and revsion.
They have said. Work place coaches will help with communication issues, the managers are now settled here and are all working together now, rather than us getting different answers depending who we ask. We are still working through the revision issues. We are getting there slowly. Give your opinion. Use the survey to voice how you feel. If enough consistency of complaints are there.. Things will get done.

Re: Employee Survey 2015 coming soon
Completion of the survey is not mandatory although we would highly encourage all employees to take the opportunity to give their view.
As this is a work-related survey, employees have been allocated time at work (during their WTLL) to complete the survey, rather than expecting employees to fill in their survey at home in their own time. This process of completing the surveys at work is standard practice in many companies.
Each survey should have been given out in an envelope as part of a pack. Each pack contained the survey itself and a pre-paid envelope with Ipsos MORI’s address for returning the survey once completed. Ipsos MORI is an independent research company conducting the survey on RMG’s behalf. All employees can be confident that their answers will be treated in complete confidence. Ipsos MORI promises that surveys will never be linked to an individual. Ipsos MORI is a member of the Market Research Society. As a member, they are bound by its Code of Conduct not to identify individual respondents’ views.
Surveys should not have been handed back to managers without being sealed in the pre-paid/pre-addressed envelope. Managers should collect the sealed packs and return them in bulk via recorded delivery to Ipsos MORI (ideally using the bags that they arrived in). If employees specifically wish to, they can take the survey home and complete it and then return it in the post in the pre-paid and pre-addressed envelope direct to Ipsos MORI.
We ask people to take part in the survey so that they can share their views in a fair and consistent way, we also give people the opportunity to do this in a confidential environment. The survey gives people the chance to say what they want without being concerned about people finding out what they individually said. Also, only by surveying everyone in RMG will we get an overall view of what people think and be able to respond to that at a corporate level.
I hope I have provided some reassurance but please let me know if I can help further.
Kind regards
Jane

All this was brought up in the last years employes survey but has anything changed, NO, more lapsing, more bullying and harrassment to get the work doneosgoody1970 wrote:and that is why nothing will ever get done, if you throw it in the bin, make sure, they know about, the bullying and harrassement by managers, when you do not want to lapse, the low morale of offices up and down the country, revisions that have gone in that do not work, that is the only way to change things!!!

Re: Employee Survey 2015 coming soon
Its the same every year,RM cherry pick the very few plus points they can gleam from the survey and trumpet it from the roof tops whilst completely ignoring the majority of the bad.Its just an exercise in trying to give the false impression they are a caring employer. If a wife beater asks her if shes ok,does that make him a caring husband? They don't give a s**t and we know it.
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

Doesn't matter if 1 person or 1,000 people fill them in nothing ever gets done, you may as well use it for toilet paperraged1999 wrote:Nothing gets done because not enough people are filling it in. The only certantity is if no one fills it out - nothing will change.
Even if the chances are miniscule that completing them will change anything, at least by doing so you can say you did everything possible to change a situation you disagreed with.
Failing to fill it out is similar to failing to vote, if you don't is your right to complain diminished in some small way.
