xmas 4 day week ?
last xmas a few in our office worked 4 day a week,working 10 hours a day 0530-1530 for example,this giving you an extra day off,im thinking of possibly doing this this year,anybody done this in other offices,is it worth doing ? can you pick your day off or would it have to be next to your original day off for eg,if my day off was a Thursday ,would I have to have a Wednesday or a Friday off.

having the extra day off is good, but unless you are willing to work that day off it does limit the opportunity for overtime for yourself, as for what days off you will get thats down to how its organised in your office

can anyone advise what weeks you CAN'T take A/L over Christmas?
It was always the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas in the recent past, now it looks like most of December has been wiped out.

It all depends on what your office agreed to when working out your annual leave plan last October time, just as last month the annual leave selection for next year should have been decided and the Xmas pressure weeks blocked out where agreed to
