Full time hours, part time perks.

Im sure at some point this subject has been brought up and questioned. Im a Annual leave reserve on a 25hr contract but as my job title suggests I cover holidays,9 times out of 10 full time duties and rarely go under 39hrs a week. I could argue the toss and get them to give me just my 25hrs a week but only being in the job for 18 months I just work what im rotared to do which is usually full time alongside 4 others who are leave reserves.
It just pees me off when my perks are part time,ie annual leave pay, weekly delivery suppliment pay. Really iam losing out on a lot and this could be the case for years.
We should be equal and considered and something should be put in place,especially when it comes to delivery suppliments that we should get a percentage of what hours we have worked that week. (Ie we work 39hrs,we get full Delivery suppliment)!!

Its not just an office thing is it, its a national thing and leave reserves should be stood up and counted just like everyone else.!!

Welcome to Tory Britain Im afraid, but I do have the upmost sympathy with you, you should get the same as the full time staff, RM=Microjobs with minimum perks.

When you work 39 hours you do receive the full delivery office supplement, you OT rate for between 25 to 39 hours has the difference built in, as for holiday hours, that may be changing soon and you may get it back dated also

I wasnt aware it was included in the overtime. When you mean holidays if things change then it may be backdated then what happens in the future if things do change and our holidays are backdated? I mean will future part timers who generally work a fulltime week get more holiday pay,maybe worked out on how many hours on average we actually work?

SSPR overtime upto 39 hours gives you pro-rata extra Delivery Supplement.

And keep an eye on the EU ruling, you could be quids in, back-claiming extra annual leave pay for these extra hours you have been working.

its not that long ago that part timers got an enhanced holiday payment once a year based on what you had worked above your contracted hours.just another benefit that was let go for a lump sum in a stupid pay deal

Yes the Union, and others, are waiting on a final ruling which if it goes in our favour will mean in future all Holiday pay will be based on AVERAGE hours rather than contracted.
