What qualifies as "a days work" in your opinion? Is it only jobs involving physical effort that qualify as work?

I think what K979aaa is insinuating is managers should lead by example as stated in 'our code of business standards' page 29 what we expect from our managers

Now, how I expect to be treated by my manager is to be believed when I insist absorption is unachievable and not be subjected to.

Mail being counted.
Packets being counted.
Photo's being taken of the sorting frame.

As well as being physically challenging I think the job can be mentally challenging, the perfect example being -

Familiarising yourself to a sorting frame if your a floater.
Familiarising yourself to post codes when you get 3 same named streets in the same town.
Recognising name's to missorted mail.
Being alert to missorted mail.

Now I understand K979aaa frustrations when top management keep spouting off about can do cultures etc....

This doesn't explain the statement that she is "yet another manager who has never done a days work in her life". The inference is clear and it has nothing to do with leading by example.
