I am a part timer ( 25 hours ) for which I receive a prorata payment for the delivery of door to doors.
Why is this when myself and my colleagues complete exactly the same actions as the full time postpersons.
This payment is unfair and we loose about £350 a year.
Does this happen at any other depots other than Stevenage?
The law is quite clear on this it is a case of equal opportunities.

It is fair because no-one gets paid for D2Ds now - except election material.
The delivery supplement is a payment recognising the particular issue within Deliveries not for delivering D2Ds. Its also based on an hourly rate and everyone working 0-39 hours receives the same amount, either directly as the supplement, or if working overtime as an addition included in the overtime.

The delivery supplement isn't for d2d as has been said over a thousand times on this site. Also if you do work up to full time hours the delivery supplement rises to full amount too.

Ah The "P" word! 
Unfortunately in RM you will have to get used to the "P" word Tony. It is the bane of every Part Time Postie. You'll also encounter it with Leave and any Bonus' (like Christmas) that are offered.
If you have the opportunity the best way to increase your payments for households is to prep them in the morning along with your other mail. They're classed as "Live" mail so shouldn't be prepped in your own time or when you've finished for the day. That way you'll spend approx 20-30 mins a day (which you're being paid for) prepping them. Add that up over the week and you're getting another 2 hours odd pay a week which helps.
If your duty's prepped for you , you won't get a chance to do that. I have know some people prep a duty for a PTer and not put the households in...expecting the guy to do it before he bundles up!
But then we all encounter plenty of Assholes in this job.
