Pay rise after 6 months service??

Am I right in thinking that we get a pay rise after our first 6 month and then again after 12 month? And if so is it automatic or does it have to be processed by our management team before we get it?

Automatic 50p an hour each time.

Manager can hold increase if he thinks you not up to scratch

But they should advise the OPG of the decision and the reasons why.
