Mail delivery to change in Droitwich

ROYAL Mail is set to make some changes to the way it delivers post around Droitwich over the next few weeks, as well as writing to every address in the WR9 postcode to explain the changes.

Postmen and women will be using a combination of vans and trolleys to deliver letters around the town, as well as the growing number of parcels.

The time that customers receive their mail will depend on where they live on new delivery routes, which might move it to earlier or later than they’re currently used to, and when volumes of post vary, those times may be subject to change.

However, despite the changes, which follow on the UK programme of transformation, the Royal Mail has reaffirmed its commitment to its six day a week, countrywide single pricing service.

Royal Mail operations director, Geoff Braden, said: “The local delivery team is fully committed to providing a high quality service that is friendly, reliable and which delivers six days a week - just as customers have come to expect from Royal Mail.”
