On top of mileage do you still get the travelling time? I did a first aid course years ago at a different office and got the mileage plus the time spent travelling.

How long has it been 45p/mile? Surely it should fluctuate with fuel prices/inflation?

The difference is if its outside your normal duty hours and you have been instructed/required to travel to another site. If during normal duty hours then you are already being paid for the time.

A little bit of confusion over this, RM will pay 45p per mile for travel or more, whilst the CWU will pay 45p per mile car/ 24p per mile motor cycle for Union activities
