i am finishing with royal mail end of april on a vr am i entitled to any holiday pay for 2014 holiday year ? i have been told i am not but i also buy holidays so what happens to the money i have paid to buy the extra holidays. any help please

I have no idea what happens to the extra money you pay for holidays but its spread over the year so any under or overpayment will be very small.

30 days leave a year (6x5days) means you would be entitled to 2.5 days per month. What the rules are on being paid it in lieu or your rights in being allowed to take it I will leave to others.

You only start paying POAL for this holiday year(2014) in April.
Up until then you are paying for the previous year.
