Same old,same old

Seems to be a lot of posts on her lately that are just going round in circles.Not too long ago there used to be lots of different threads with varied posters,but these days it's the same 2 or 3 people arguing/abusing each other every day.It's a real shame as the site is still a great place to find out the information that affects us on a day to day basis,just a pity you have to dredge through all the negativity to find it...

It's always the same when there is something big happening, this time it's the new agreement which will take up the majority of threads/posts. Once the vote is done with (and people take the result) things will go back to normal.

Plus, we do love a good moan, it's good for the soul to have a whine here............and safer than having a rant in work.

There are still a lot of threads on Blue Shirt and the Union...

Why have a moan on Temporary Topical Thread like the New Agreement...

And why not contribute to the discussion and give us an angle to think about or debate...

I'm sorry if it is the same old issues that keep coming up because that is what affect people - if it does not concern you then why bother?

Some good points but the agreement section is only temporary and those without much to add to things wants other to start a thread for them. There are enough variety in the Union section and many other sections and there is also the MC forum where you can talk about things that some of us know nothing about - and we will not bore you then

Unlike you,im not having a moan,just making an observation in the thread which is probably the one most affected by the issues i mentioned.If you bother checking the MC thread history then you'd see I've had plenty of input in the past.Unfortunately myself and many of the other older posters aren't bothering much these days exactly for the reasons i cited in the OP.

The fact that this seems to of happened around the same time that you started regularly contributing must surely be down to pure coincidence......

Indeed. Posts with actual facts get shot down instead of actually debating it constructively. I am not saying believe everything but there are ways to do this. I remember in 2007 there was a site for the CMA and it was eventually shut down. It ended up a bit like now on here. No matter what facts was put on there by the CWU it was shot down with hardly any debate whatsoever by bitter CMA managers. I was "advised" to not bother as it was a fruitless task to advise any members on there. Just cold hearted cynicism.

Shame really as there are some facts on here,(and downloads) that have supported my appeals and revision negotiations.
