I'm day off cover at our office & have a rotating day off. The rotation is always Thu, Fri, Sat & Mon. I never have a Tues or Wed off. Our PHG comes up to me this morning & informs me that my day off next week is Wed (it should be Thurs). I asked why as i never have Wed off & had not been consulted about swapping my day off. He said that it was because of operational changes because we don't have enough staff to cover the rounds. I've got an appointment to have a blood test on Thurs morning which i booked on that day because it should be my day off & i explained this to the PHG. I asked him if they were allowed to change my day off without me being consulted & at such short notice (4 days) to which he said yes. He then asked when the appointment was & said that i could go to have my blood test then come back to work. This doesn't seem right to me & i'm not good with giving blood & have been known to pass out so i really don't want to have to go back to work straight after it. It's not my fault that we don't have enough staff to cover all the rounds so why should i be messed about?!

They're like an assistant manager i suppose & seem to do a lot of jobs that the managers don't like doing.

You should've been ASKED are you willing to change your day off. I would say it doesn't sorry but i'm taking my normal day.
Make sure you see your rep and let him know then go into your DOM's office together.

I'm planning on seeing the manager tomorrow to tell him i'm taking my normal day but unfortunately we don't have a rep at our office anymore so i'll be on my own. If they try & bully me i'll be on the phone to our area rep.
