A job has become available that's closer
Hi I've recently passed my interview and now waiting for my security checks to clear... The job I have gone for is 7 miles away... One has become available 2 miles away.... Is it possible to transfer during the application process???

Well given that you've not signed a contract you can contact HR or local DOM and ask. But until you get security clearance they cant formally offer you the job.

i had that and i called hr and was told that because i hadnt started and the new job do was within 1 mile of my home address then i was allowed to transfer my application it was quite funny on my first day as no one had a clue who i wasnorm wrote:Well given that you've not signed a contract you can contact HR or local DOM and ask.
