The cost of Christmas
Many of us may be tempted to use payday lenders or doorstep credit firms like the Provvi to cover the extra cost of Christmas. There may be a cheaper way if you need to borrow. Commsave is a credit union just for Royal Mail staff and our families. They are doing an instant loan of up to £1,000. The good thing is you pay via payroll deduction which makes it easy. Also, part of your pay deduction goes in to your savings so you are building up a little nestegg.

Re: The cost of Christmas
I thought this was going to be about how badly the job is effecting our health; both physically and mentally. That's the REAL cost of Christmas.

Re: The cost of Christmas
With the improved xmas bonus + the £200 lump sum pay deal + 28 weeks back pay it should help things a little.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Re: The cost of Christmas
I have never owned a Credit card and I have never been in debt.
If you want something you save for it.
Too many people these days want things even if they can't afford it and end up paying for it twice due to interest
