Christmas hours in your DO

Just wondering what, if any, overtime deals have been offered in other offices for pressure weeks and if staff have accepted or rejected. Majority of our DO is refusing.

where the same , was offered to start early in the morning sorting but only about 6 have said yes , everybody else refused.

We were offered 30 minutes early in morning an you can work on if u need to
But if uu dont start early u can not work over your finish time .
Some rural duties are due finished before collections start but expected to do them

They got 39 hrs SA. Started on Sat. A good deal obtained through our rep.

Personally I wont be working any of it but that's just me.

Deal? We don't do deals. However there has been one small change. Instead of arguing and begging to leave packets, we have been given yorks to put them in with no quibbles. Don't know how many packet duties or how many hours, all I know is I won't be taking many packets out for the next three weeks.

All Xmas OT to be paid at SA rate and extra bodies to take parcels out. No quibbling about extended deliveries either if we want to book OT.

we have a new piece of paper in our office ,, it asks us to write down what we predict how late after our finishing time will be ,, apparently writing between 5 minutes and 3 hours isn't acceptable ,, i found the perfect soloution though,, we fill it in when we get back ,, i put down 1 hr today so they will be chuffed when they see i was only 40 minutes over today

Just another thing that suggests RM is run like totally different companies. We haven't had SA for over 10 years and if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't know it even still existed.

We've got twice as many hire vans as we've got duties/volunteers to use them.

We we're meant to be leaving parcels for morning & afternoon delivery drivers but it's not happening with empty vans sat in the yard and parcels sat in yorks.

No incentives offered, just as much overtime as you want is available.

DOM gone plonkers in our office - makes some people do full hours while others do ghost overtime. Office is dividing but the only result will be nobody doing overtime and DOM doing final mile.
Shame really, he's not a bad DOM but just stuck in a tight spot and has taken the wrong path!
