Break Time

Can anyone advice me how the break time is calculated?
I have worked in the morning shift for 4 hours (06:00 -10:00 am). And in the evening I have worked 1.5 hours (17:00-18:30) in tow different dependents.

How many mints I can take break in each shift? OR am I allowed to have break

Depends on who you are working for Angard or Royal mail and if you are Angard whether you have qualified for AWR.

1.5 hours gives no break for either company.

4 hours gives no break for Angard (pre AWR qualification) but 20 minutes for Royal Mail or an AWR qualified Angard casual.

1. What is AWR qualified Angard casual?

2. I am work for Angard; I did not get any break.
BUT they have deducted 15 minutes for a break time each day.
I have worked 15 days like this shift. So I have lost 0.15*15=3.75 hours

3 When I asked the pay royal team, they advice me that , They only take the total of hours I have worked on the day and if it is more that 5 hours, they will deduct 15 minutes for break.

But everyone knows that 4 hours morning shift Angard staff will not get any break at all.

Did you do 4 hours followed consecutively by 1.5 hours ? If you did not do them consecutively and had a break between them, in my opinion, RM should not have deducted the break.

If you did them consecutively you did a total of 5.5 hours which will automatically get a 15 minute break - without being paid. Note: in the handbook, a copy of which is on this forum, you get: a 15 minute break for, I think, 5 hours to 6 hours 59 minutes - which is illegal; for 7 hours to 11 hours 59 you get 30 minutes break and 12+ hours you get 1 hour break but check the handbook . The legal minimum is 20 minutes for 6 hours work.

AWR is Agency Worker Regulations, there are a number of threads on this forum about this with links to government documentation about it from the BIS department. Suggest you check them out as Angard will not tell you about it. -

Not consecutively .

Worked 4hours in the morning and in the evening 1.5hours.
BUT When I aske RM the answer was they are doing like this to every one all this years.
AND this is there policy.

Nothing I can do.

I have worked for RM 8 hours then They paid me 7.15 hours and taken off 45 munutes per break each day

Does anyone know it?

As a Christmas casual you do not get paid breaks.
