Ok so I know it's still early but do we know anything yet? Personally I think we need to make a stand, draw a line in the sand and whatever other cliché you care to use. However, when and if we take IA would a better approach be to stagger any action across functions on a daily basis. For example day A network and collections take IA. Day B mail centres take IA and finally on day 3 deliveries walk out. Maximum effect with the pipeline of mail disrupted for a longer period whilst members only lose 1 days pay. Just my views what do others think?

RM have been given a 7 day extension to resolve talks. Anyone else heard this? Or where the rumour is coming from as the is zero word from CWU?

NATIONAL DISPUTE


The purpose of this LTB is to update CWU Branches, Representatives and Members on the current position in the National Dispute following the Joint Statement agreed on the 30th October 2013.


Although negotiations have continued and progress has been made, it has not been possible at this stage to finalise an agreement on all the issues involved in the dispute.


Following a report given to the Postal Executive yesterday, it has been agreed that negotiations should continue and the Union has accepted an offer from the company to grant a final 7 day extension to our Industrial Action ballot. This means that the ballot will remain legally valid until 27th November 2013.


It is important to convey to all CWU members that the Union is committed to reaching an agreement in the next week. However, if we cannot resolve all outstanding issues, consideration will be given to serving notice to the company for Industrial Action.

f***ing joke this union serve notice now and push them into a corner to resolve these issues NOW our leadership is to f***ing soft Bob Crow wouldnt put up with this s**t so why are Billy and Dave sorry for my language but my blood is boiling. This union of ours needs to wake up and smell the coffee,we the members want to know what is being discussed all the facts not just being told we are still talking we want to know what has been agreed and what are the sticking points we have every right to know what is going on.We are all still waiting for our pay rise we are now nearly seven months into this financial year and still no payrise this union is a joke.

I haven't seen the agreement 2013. And I doubt when I do it'll fill me full of joy.

However I did see the agreement of 2010 which was negotiated more less under the same circumstances as here in 2013. With stalling tactics and extension after extension.

44% increase gas/electric bills over 10yrs and going to get worse....our union cannot get a agreement this year for inflation busting deal...3yr linked to inflation and surprise surprise inflation likely to shoot up this coming year..Bank of England run by a Canadian..RM ditto...is there a link??

We should be looking at a major increase on pay and a long hard look at doing the job properly..if duties cannot be completed then managers can do the rest for me, I can go home on time and not worry about..is there an issue with delivery in London I wonder??

Let,s see exactly what the stumbling block is, or is the problem with Higson and his dislike of Unions??
