According to the new Code of Business Standards booklet that arrived today it states on page 37
"We provide Computers, mobile phones and a range of equipment as work tools for many of our people."

As I don't use my mobile at work as its PAYG , can I ask for one for my round ??

I think that the pda's have a phone function built into them if im not mistaken, i remember someone calling me on it randomly once

If anyone knows how, to can you tell me

you press the phone button, then go into the phone book, select the helpdesk number, it takes you through to an options menu, press the one about speaking to your office, it will then ask you your six digit office code, its the one your supposed to check when your logging into the pda, type that it and it will call your office

no we were never trained how to use the phone facility
Plus what is this 6 digit number you refer to??
We just put our name in and put my personal 4 digit password in to use it and scan the barcode stuck to the side of my frame

When you login in you supposed to check it has the correct 6 digit office number in, next time you login look at the screen you will see the number

our training was for 5 minutes showing us how to log on and to scan a recorded item, if we weren't told about any other of the functions how are we to know.
I thought it was just a scanning machine brick

It's also got a sat nav built in which when you scan your collection route in will take you to the boxes

PDA Directory (press) it will tell you that this call will be charged etc, etc
Listen for PROMPT: MC,DO,HUB, Breakdown etc, press appropiate number
Enter the I D Number for YOUR DO,MC,HUB etc (ie 000123)
Connects you to the place you want
