I left R/M through ihr in May....so I'm glad I'm not about for the latest round of strikes...When we had the strikes a few years ago I decided not to talk to someone who had crossed the picket line and went into work. ..he took offence to this and put a grievance against me. ..I had the meeting was shown the paperwork was told this was serious. ..cut a long story short I was given a warning ...what made it worse was the lads who i stood on the picket line with never backed me up they just laughed and joked with him and even went out drinking with him...so come Nov 4 I'll be wishing you all the best of luck but from a distance

as long as you didn't blank him in your work dealings, you should be safe, jeezus half the office could take out a grievance against me after the last strike.

You have to be careful after a strike due to the sensitive nature of the situation. Its not worth getting a warning or suspension over. However people have long memories.

For example a guy at our place has a holiday home by the coast. Really nice place and he lets it out very cheap for people at work.

One of the few, who choose to come to work on a strike day, normally stayed for 2 weeks in the summer at this guys place. The following year (I guess him thinking the strike long forgotten) the scab approached our friend to book his 2 weeks but was told to Feck Off. End off.

So his two weeks down the coast cost him about £800 more than it would have done.

Also swapping days off and overtime all come into account in the years ahead.
