The Royal Mail Share Offer has now closed. The deadline for applications was Tuesday, 8 October.

On Thursday, 10 October the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills announced that the price of the shares sold in the Royal Mail Share Offer has been set at 330p per share.

It is expected that Royal Mail shares will be listed on the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday, 15 October and that unconditional dealings in the shares will commence on that date.

Conditional dealings in Royal Mail shares start on Friday, 11 October. Those who applied in the Direct Retail Offer (including the Employee Priority Offer), and who are allocated shares, will not be able to deal in their shares on a conditional basis. Therefore, the earliest time at which such investors in the Direct Retail Offer will be able to deal in Royal Mail Shares is at the start of unconditional dealings.

Valid applications by eligible employees will be met in full up to the priority limit of £10,000. Application amounts in excess of £10,000 have been allocated shares in line with applications in the Retail Offer from other members of the public.

Share certificates or statements, and any refunds of surplus application money, will be sent out by Monday, 21 October.
