Does anybody know if you can apply for a transfer to another delivery office online?

Go onto the Royal Mail website and search for jobs in the area you are interested in. Fill in the job application. If you contacted the Manager at the Office you where interested in he would probably tell you to do just that.
However once you applied online you could chat to the Manager in question and explain what you've done. if he's desperate for staff he may well contact your Office and try and hurry things up. But don't hold your breath.

May be worth contacting the office you are interested in to see if they have any vacancies coming up?
