booking annual leave
the amount of staff allowed off at any given time at our office has been reduced making it EVEN more difficult to book annual leave, i'm just wondering if this has happened nationaly or is this unique to our office?

it was already a ridiculous process, that has only been made worse with this reduction of staff allowed off, a reduction the union said they werent aware of, my missus and child have been on 2 family holidays without me this year as i couldnt match my leave with hers, its sickening and god help you if you try and book the odd day here and there.......they look at you like youve just puked on thier boots!!!

How many people at your office Harrap,a ' rough guide' to working out annual leave slots...my office has 34 peeps...
34 (OPG's) x by 6 (max leave entitlement)/50 (2 weeks blocked because of xmas) = 4.08
We have 4 slots a week.

in fact over 200, as we,ve had approx 15 new starters in the last 2 months so 210 in total to be safe

'Rough guide' 210x6/say 48 weeks = 26 slots or 49/50 weeks= 25 slots

During a WTL session months ago, we were told all annual leave now had to be cleared by the DSM, because allowing OPGs leave was being based on a budget and not on "x" number of holiday slots per week anymore.
We have OPGs with way more than 1 week of leave left to book for this year and yet nobody has been sorting out leave requests all summer. Not to mention POAL is kept very quiet in our office, ask a PT and most are oblivious to the fact they can boost their leave to 6 weeks a year with a weekly deduction.
