Shift allowance for nights on light duties?

I have been doing nights whilst on light duties last week and now this week, 1 of the chaps on nights says I maybe eligible for unsociable hours allowance, I imagine I wouldn't be paid this come tomorrow when I get the pay slip and I can see that they will at their accomadating my light duties by nights and doing me a favour (yeh right), I don't particularly want another argument with them, but if I'm entitled to it I shall air my views.

Also to this they tried taking my rotating day/night off me this week and I kicked off as its Saturday, my union rep reckons that they have every right do do this as they are accomadating me giving me light duties and apparently he has gone to a stage 2 grievance in the past regarding exactly the same issue, can they just give me Tuesday off or mon/tue night as its better for them?
Oh my hours are 12-7am 5 days a week.
This company never fails me trying to do people over.

So I'm back on nights doing light duties, the original question stands, am I entitled to a unsociable hours allowance as I am doubt nights regardless in what manor?
