Dear Colleague

World Class Mail

Further to LTB 534/13 the Postal Executive has this week considered all the practical issues involved in implementing the policy of direct opposition to WCM.

The Union also informed Royal Mail of the decision during our National Talks and made it clear that we will not be supporting WCM in the future.

The company were very disappointed at this development and reminded us that WCM is part of an existing National Agreement. We responded by explaining that in our view the company has never really embraced the Agreement and our decision also had to be seen in the wider context.

The Union will be issuing a communication next week that will cover off the implementation of the policy including a letter to be handed to CWU members explaining the overall situation.

Brilliant news and how RM can state it's part of a National Agreement beggars belief when they started to against the last agreement as soon as the ink was dry on the paper.
