I won my appeal but.....

So Royal Mail dismissed me in May 2013, I appealed and won my case, they now owe me something like 13 weeks of pay

My question is when they pay me, as it is one lump some am i going to suffer being out of pocket due to taxation or will i recieve the same amount as if i was being paid on a weekly basis since May?

Also what happens to things like my purchase of extra annual leave, union fees or my student loan repayments?

Any answers would be much appreciated so i know what i'm prepared for....

You won't lose out on your tax, it's based on your full years income.

As you have been reinstated, then in effect you have been continuously employed with no break in that employment, so everything in terms of leave accrual etc. should fall in the same category, and be unaffected. I'd expect that in regards of your student loans and extra leave purchase it may take some working out, and you will more than likely have to push the issues to get them sorted, but they should be the same as the always have.
