3 months or 6 months?

Hi all,

Started off with a 3 month contract in February and have now received a 6 month renewal through the post to sign and return that takes me up until the beginning of November 2013, my question is if i get another one in November can they revert back to 3 months or will they be at least 6 months from now on?

could be either, could be 5 weeks, depends on revision and when they anticipate they will need you for.

Thanks for the reply, didn't realise it could be anything...i thought the minimum was 3 months. Oh well at least i know now

Dom will say it's Hr, out of their control etc. Probably to get you off their case

but normally once your in the job you got it for life. they will always need people in either your office or neighbouring ones - very rarely have i read on here that someone doesn't get their contract renewed unless they are still in the trial period [ 6 months ] - after that you pretty much have a job until you want it.
