I'm moving in 4 weeks and am having trouble trying to get a transfer so just wanted to know if I take a sabbatical do i have to go back to the office that i originally left or can i apply to go to a different office ?

A career break guarantees you a job, but they will not say where or in what department. So you may find that upon your return you would be moved anyway. The main issue would be that RM may try giving you a job somewhere difficult in order to get you to quit.

how long do i have to be with royal mail before i can do it cause ive only been a postman for 15 months does that matter ?

I think there is a minimum amount of time you have to be employed for, it may be 12 months. Ask your boss or ring HR for info.

You have to have at least 2 years service with a good record ..........
