Re: sickness
I went to a briefing last week, it has and will be well publicised in the courier and wtl's. to me it looks bloody good in the world we live in now. standards the same. 4/14 =stage 1 2/10=stage 2. 2/10 = consideration of dismissal. but you can clear your name in 6 month's now.

Re: sickness
4 days or. 4 periods in a year = stage1. if your on stage 1, 2periods or 10 days in 6months = stage2. if your on stage 2, 2 periods or 10 days in the next 6 month's puts you up for consideration for dismissal.Hitcher wrote:What do those figures mean?silly suffolk wrote:4/14 =stage 1 2/10=stage 2. 2/10 = consideration of dismissal.

Re: sickness
Yes it is wonderful.
No appeals for a stage as per the old procedure.
Ringing you up twice a week at least...nice `example` in the `guides`.
Accident on delivery still open to the management using the it was your fault bollocks
Disability? your f****d if you happen to get to 22 weeks, all this bollocks about it being up to the manager to make the decision, well ours would have you out quicker than a tramp on a free fish supper.
Yes it's wonderful.
Still it was nice how they sold it to all the reps in a fecking joint briefing with management, all smiles and hang shaking and a `new dawn`.
what a load of shite.

Re: sickness
in the real world, where stat sick pay is the predominant form of pay when off sick, and it amounts to bugger all, so why so much animosity to a sick procedure that has been improved for the work force beggars belief. a lot of people our in for one hell of a shock if [when] we are privatised.

Re: sickness
same as suffolk said, the trigger stage is still the same, but you are only ''in jail'' so to speak for 6 months instead of the year. also if you come into work but go home sick after 10 or 20 mins then there are NO half days held against you. it does not count as a days absence. i am still pissed though, that we dont get a right of appeal at any of these stages which IMO is against human rights. ive said it before and i'll say it again,,,,even rapists and murderers are entitled to an appeal. but not royal mail staff.cyberheater wrote:daveyeff wrote:well from what ive heard its worked out in favour for us, the employees.

Re: sickness
so, say you're on a stage 1, 5 months later you have a week off sick, are you off the stage 1 after the 6 months? (from the original stage 1)
