hiya just a quick question been with royal mail now nearly 2 years in august still on these crappy contracts 2 month here a month there . yet in disbelief my office have been taking people on lately on permanent contracts. dont really want to say anything to the management is this aloud??

also with the privitisation comming up lets be realistic are our delivery offices going to lose staff?? iam six from the bottom of the senerioty list and havent had a sniff of job sercurity since i started nearly two years ago......

first of all check that they are permanent contracts ask the phg,s they know more than anyone in the office.
if its true ask your o/c why the full-term contracts were not given to staff already working at your office if the guvnor says it nothing to do with you go to your area rep or area guvnor and ask whats going on.

I seem to remember a while back that it was agreed that after 2 years on a temporary contract you had to be given a full time one.

Does any else remember this?
