Maternity leave

Woman in our office is 4 months pregnant.She has been working for R M for 18 months on temp contract,which runs out in May.She wants to come back working,but is crapping herself that she won't have a job to come back too. Anyone know where she stands.

You have the same maternity rights if you are an employee on a fixed - term or temporary contract or if you are an apprentice.

She might not have a job when she has taken her maternity leave, but if Royal Mail do not extend her contract then they would have to show an ET that her dismissal was fair, if she took it that far.
