Pay slip question

Hi guys this is my first post and its one about my pay slip for last week.

In deductions under tax paid it says -468 pounds. Ive worked out the total deductions and payments and it all adds up right so im curious as to why ive been paid that amount extra. Ive recently had my hours lowered from 28 to 25 as i was on a three month contract which was up in early february. Any ideas?

It's a tax refund.
If you started work part way through the tax year you have been paying tax on the presumption that you have been working and earning that amount for the full year.

I thought a tax refund would come from the hmrc? So its nothing to worry about then and i wont need to chase it up?
