Hi all , looking for advice please. I worked for Royal Mail for just over a month on a part time contract of 24 hrs plus overtime.
My four pay slips have shown 20 hours and I havnt been paid one penny of the many hrs overtime I did in that time.
Despite repeated questions to my line manager nothing was sorted at all.I have since left and was promised full payment within days, however my last pay packet came showing £0.00!!!
Is there a complaints procedure I can go through even though I left the position or has anyone got anyone relevent contacts?
I really enjoyed the job apart from lack of pay!
Thanks very much.

Send a letter to the Delivery Office Manager pointing out your problems and finish with a threat to take this to the Small Claims Court if your money is not paid into your bank account within seven days.

Way too confrontational.... at least ask for a response in 7 days then if that isn't acceptable say why and if you feel you have a strong case THEN start the 'threat' of the SCCLincox wrote:finish with a threat to take this to the Small Claims Court if your money is not paid into your bank account within seven days.

Indio, he has received nothing because he has been non confrontational. These managers sit on their ass.s doing nothing and hope the problem goes away. The only time they start to take notice is when you challenge them and their position is then under threat.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
