driving to work

I live in a rural area, and i have to drive 15mins to work. its very remote and the roads are small.
I have a small car. And the chances of me getting off my road are bleak...
At what point can i say No... i'm not driving to work in that... when i've crashed my car or got it stuck... or frozen to death attempting to walk.
And what about not being able to get home... i can i say no... i'm not going to work because i worry i wont get back?

Good question i'm wondering the same thing right now? I'm kinda in the same boat, except i have a big powerful car.

You have to consider what is safe.
For example I drove home today on A roads through just 3 inches of falling snow in a modern front wheel drive car and the dash lite up like a christmas tree with "esp" "tc" "alb" warnings when i touched the brakes or tried to pull away. I made it ok but i dont live in a remote area.

Dont be a hero. You can always phone in and say your car wont start.

I'm not taking my car. I'm walking in. I'm not risking it for my job. They don't give a ship about me and wouldn't pay for my repair bill if I slide into a parked car or a tree.

its skidding all down my road... and its only going to be worse in the morning... drove it in a ditch yesterday... but its not worth risking my life.
