The documents on this seem vague and thin on the ground, regarding an agreement with the CWU.

Many members are looking on here for answers and advice.
A few questions, which Will help if anyone has the answers of what should be done and likely actions of royal mail?

1)Cant get to work as snowed in or to dangerous to attempt to get to work?

2)Got to work but weather is getting worse and I am concerned on getting home as public transport has stopped?

3) Manager is being a di*k and is keeping us all in the office with no work to do, he says we can go home but that decision would have been ours so we will owe him the hours back?

4)Manager wants to send me home as weather is too bad to deliver?

5)Manager has told us we have to go home but will expect us to work back the hours or take annual leave?

6)Manager is forcing us to go out on delivery when I don't think it's safe?

Some question seem to be repetitive but the devil is in the detail.

May be i'm missing something, but
Is it;
Some staff will still be unable to attend alternative work location and they should contact their Line Manager to explain the situation. On return to work the Line Manager will discuss with them how the absence is to be treated. Each case will be treated on it's merits and in recognition of employees to attend for work in adverse circumstances.
Practical options open to managers include:

Take one day annual leave
Take the day off and make up the time during the following week.

or is it;
There is no provision within the Pay & Modernisation Agreement for the clawback of any time as a result of what is tantamount to an 'act of God' i.e. the severe weather conditions that the UK is currently experiencing.
We have had further reports that some Managers are attempting to have our members take annual leave, make good the time, or even in some cases Special Leave 'C' (unpaid) where they could not attend work through no fault of their own. Once again, our representatives should be clear that this has not been agreed with the Postal Department at CWU HQ.

If the top one is agreed, then what is the LTB from Dave Ward all about, as they seem to contradict one another

Try to get to your nearest office if there is one nearer,rule of thumb seems to be if your/a office is within 3 miles you should make it.

Bring some cards and loose change and stay in.
