The indoor part of our revision goes live on Monday and we have been told we cannot have any drinks or food until our designated meal break(except for going to the water dispenser).
What happens in other offices and is there some sort of national agreement or is it a H and S issue.
Apparently our Union rep has agreed this and signed it off.

Had our revision 18 months ago. Same as before, we can eat and drink as and when we want on our frame. Same on the IPS, theres usually someone on there with a coffee/tea.

H&S says the coffee machines etc. must be in the canteen and no hot drinks are allowed in the work area - but we always have drinks on the fittings especially in this weather.

He can't have a tea/coffee while standing watching his slaves who can't!

Hot drinks in safety cups/flasks fine, food within reason like choc bars/biscuits ok too. Sarnies etc. wait until meal relief in canteen or outside.

As long as managers can have coffee and food at their desk in front of their pc i will be having coffee when i sort mail wherever i may be, if they dont do it then i may think about it too.

We had a "deep clean" a while back right down to the RM2000 frames which hadn't been properly cleaned since...2000 i would imagine.
After it they "asked" us not to eat at our prep frames.
It lasted an hour.

We have very good employee/employer engagement at our D.O.
They scowl at us...we scowl back.

We've been told no drinking,or eating at the frame. When i asked if that went for the management as well, i was assured that was the case.

I guess you could all stop for 15 mins whilst you drink a coffee away from the fram. How about when they call you up for IPS That should UP your doms blood pressure nicely

The doms don't want you to drink and eat at frames as they think it slows the sorting rate down. Get whole office to take a break before they go out and I am sure they will reconsider.
