Resign and jobshare

Post by beanmuncha »

Hi all, i need some help and guidance
We are shortly going for a full resign and we have 1 FT duty that is at present a Job-share(not signed for), this is taking a FT position from being allocated.
Should the 2 fellas not be counted as PT and as such take PT duties? and free up another FT position for someone else?
Is there a ruling on this? if so where do i find it?

any help would be much appreciated

job share usually means 2 people doing one duty. normally on a 24 hour week, using a3day or 6 day rotation, the duty is nominated as a job share duty. this dose not mean full time or part time staff cant do it, due to leave, sickness, retirement etc.
