OPG/OSG ADJ Leader Allowance question...

Can anyone Please tell me what the difference between "Normal, Everyday" pay is and the above Leader Allowance OPG/OSG ADJ is?
( I'm a 25hrs per week Relief postie/parcels worker.)
I cover the Locker regularly, and don't seem to be getting the correct payment compared to my Normal Pay.
This goes back for a many months, possibly years and is a nightmare trying to sort it out. No definitive answer is ever given when I ask for Facts/Details/Information.
I was told the Leaders Allowance is paid "per day" not per hour, but I have not found out the difference between the two rates of pay, after many requests/inquiries.

Seems like some big DaVinci Code secret for something that should be quite easy to find out...

I do know that, when I covered the locker for a whole Summer, but being "green", that I wasn't even told there WAS a Leaders Allowance...until the following year.

you wont get the leadership allowance for being in the locker /cage it is normally paid for covering a dom i think

One of the guys on CSS nights gets the leadership allowance. I'm sure he said he got paid it on a weekly basis, not hourly or daily.
It is/was about £30 a week, I think.

Leadership allowance given when doing Doms job,let's say you open up your office and do what your Dom does you then get a payment.also used to get ot for doing A tasks these are usually jobs done by Doms or line managers but this is normally done now by Phg.your balance of staff etc.

Yep, covering the office, closing up, specials/safe security and supervision of evening staff etc...thats the Role...NOT just dealing with phone/locker callers.
Anyone know the EXACT rate between Normal Pay and this Leaders Rate?

See what I mean about it being hard to discover??

Leadership allowance per week = £31.53, i think it would be pro rata for ag grades if payment was due.

Leadership Allowance paid NOT for covering DOM but for being in charge of more than 5 members of staff for more than one and half hours per day. Key is 'in charge' being in Priority Locker, Enquiry Office or DOM support tasks NOT covered. In effect it's normally applicable if no Manager in early with members on IPS or if the Unit is a minor Collection hub that does a dispatch (again with more than five members), also some members in larger SPDO's receive payment (although the Sub-postmaster is paid for this as well).

Getting there slowly. Some payments have appeared in my wages, but not all.
Just a case of keep on asking, keep on leaving the info of what was covered/when, and keep my fingers crossed!
