Hi, hope someone can help me here! I normally work a 3 day week, i got asked a few weeks before christmas if i woold go full time and do nightshift to do FSO, i agreed to it cause it ws closer to home< I am diabetic< and has totally mucked my ruitine for taking my tablets and my insulin, for normal i cantol thios but they cut short fso in two weeks out of three< i have had a hypo last week for trying to keep myself up where if my nightshift had continued i would have been okI had to stay up today for my annual diabetic review

Crazy Being a diabetic you would come under the equality act and you should have adjustments made to your duty for you to take your tablets and insulin.crazytaxifife wrote:Hi, hope someone can help me here! Inform your manager of the situation, if no luck there speak to your Rep he should be able to help you out.

Diabetes 2 - maybe......
I'm not sure what resonable adjustments could be made to a duty for a diabetic? The ability to control (or not) insulin levels are dependant on many factors.
From my experience some like the job because the exercise helps them control their diabetes better. Some find it messes it up.
And what worked fine one year, doesn't necessarily work well the next.
I do think if you are a diabetic you should inform your park and loop partner.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
