I suppose more on the picket lines would help! and would put us all in a much stronger position!
..........But then again they should have been out with the rest of us from DAY ONE!!! ...They cannot just pick and choose which days suit them!

The way i see it is simple........ALL OR NOTHING!

I'd take each case as it comes, but we've got two brothers who weren't in the union (which, is the old sense of the word is what defines a scab - someone not in the union) and who crossed our picket line in 2000 when we were after a five day week. I had a talk with them and they decided to join the union. Then, they started reading some political books and pamphlets and became anarchists. You couldn't meet two more hard-line comrades. They haven't missed a picket line ever since. They do the job by the book and never give RM one second of their own time.

If we don't win this one, you won't need to worry about future strikes.

Yes I would welcome them back - the stronger we look, that is more bodies on the line, the weaker Royal Mail look.

In my ranking the best are those who never cross.

The OK ones are those that did but saw the error of their ways and came back. But they must go on the pciket.

Then there are those that say they are not striking and don't.

The lowest of the low are those who say that they will strike and then cross the picket. That is the worst IMHO.

I still think that our union should politely inform them that as they have seen fit to go against the wishes or best interests of the union then they should gravely consider withdrawing from the union forethwith.
