The agency driver brought the wrong van to our office for our final feed.
Instead of the 15 yorkies we were expecting, the van was empty.
Felt sorry for the guy as we were all pissing ourselves laughing.
The MC realised the cock up about 10 minutes after he was on his way
and managed to arrange another driver to bring the mail up.
Quote of the day had to come from the agency worker.
"Don't tell me I've brought the wrong van up"
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.

hahahaha almost the same thing happened to my office this morning.
when I got in at 7 i was told we were expecting a (relatively) quiet day as about a dozen yorks hadn't been loaded on to the lorry and had been declared failed.
needless to say about half an hour later we we told that they were on their way and we had to wait.
full timers pissed about the prospect of working to their time, me on 25hrs very glad of the 2.5 hour OT I got to book

Just like some PTers, there are FTers that take the piss but it's the FT staff that have the longest duties, they're also the ones out until their finishing time most days.
Like most of the longer serving members of this site, I don't agree with the attack of PTers against FTers because we're just the same but only on different hours.

I was working at the main DO in our area called x central DO and the MC sent an agency driver in an arctic with no tail lift. managers where flapping about for about half an hour wondering what to do. In the end a 7.5t turns up with the last few yorks and they decide to back this onto the arctic to load the yorks into the 7.5t then use its tail lift. They start doing this and then realise all the mail on the arctic is for y central DO in a different town and the agency driver has gone to the wrong DO
I have heard of one MC driver got his duties mixed up and went to the wrong office with the wrong mail on the wrong day, cue chaos and lots of postmen kicking around waiting for the right mail to be brought in, more dockets for us DOM not too happy
