In my office our managers rely on people doing overtime daily and forcing people to work extra (for nothing - lapsing) even when its not achievable. I know of another office that lapse daily and the manager admits it really they can't do it(accept Tuesday). This is all down to staff issues. How can a company run like this never mind a office.
Is this the same with more offices across UK? Wonder if this happens in other companies!!!

Only company I've ever known that tries to force you to do O/T and then don't want to pay it!

Actually, I think we're a tiny bit lucky in this regard. With lots of other jobs, when you're on a straight salary, they pretty much count on you going beyond 39 or 40 hours a week.

Its ridculous. The revision in our place has been planned on having over 1 hr OT built into the round. and when that cant be done for whatever reason, managers bottom lip comes out..... not my pay scale to worry about such things

Most salary workers get time back in lieu.
