Wilful delay

have been told by manager today that i would be done with wilful delay of mail if did not work past my hours of contract on that day to finish delivery .. first day on new run and only had one days training and still didnt no the delivery properly .. rung him a hour and a half before finish duty time .. is this right can he do this also mentioned it in the morning that did not want to work over but he wasnt present at time when i said this just other staff please could let me no where i stand ... have been in company 1 and half years no warning s or lateness

You need to talk to your rep, you really shouldn't be taking post out if you're not going to be able to deliver it but as it's your first time then it should be allowed. As I said, talk to your rep (or area) and fill in a grievance form and see what that gets
