National Network Dispute Resolution:

Joint Statement Between Royal Mail & CWU On Trigger Payments For Network Operations And Processing Units In Logistics

You will be aware that further to LTB 476/12 and the attached Joint Statement of Intent a number of agreements have been reached on all outstanding issues.

One of those issues was in regard to the BT2010 Agreement, 2012 Transformation Trigger payments in Royal Mail Logistics.

Against that backdrop please find attached for the information of Branches and representatives the Joint Statement that has been agreed with the business specifically in relation to these trigger payments for the Network Operation and Processing units. The content of the document is self-explanatory and has been produced in order to qualify the requirements to conclude the outstanding activity for this year in respect of the Transformation Lump Sum Payments, detailed in Annex C of the BT2012 Agreement.

Joint Statement Between Royal Mail And The CWU On Clarification On Trigger Payments For Network Operations And Processing Units In Logistics

Regional Distribution Centres

£400 paid on successful deployment of the 2012/13 revision and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 4 week bedding in period.
Each RDC will deploy a unit efficiency improvement revision which includes the implementation of the following:

 Mailsort 2 and 3 products will be parallel processed for M2 and M3 to align to a new service specification and they will be containerised in Yorks for onward transportation to inward Mail Centres

 All packets including Tracked High Volume will be sorted in line with the national simplified sort architecture at the outward process stage

 The trigger payment will be made on implementation of the duty changes to align to the above

All RDCs will carry out the above changes in line with the shared roll out plan and target deployment in advance of Network 2012.

Network Drivers

£400 to be paid on successful deployment of Network 2012, and objectives achieved in line with the agreement.

Air Hubs

£400 to be paid to OPGs following successful deployment of an efficiency revision at each Air hub to support the deployment of Network 2012 and the 4 week bedding in period.

Traffic Office / Admin OPGs and LAs in Network Operations

£400 to be paid following successful deployment of a unit or area efficiency revision to support the deployment of Network 2012 and objectives achieved in line with local agreement and no later than the end of the 4 week bedding in period.
