Missing packets...

So I turned up for work today to be greeted with "hey, do you know where this parcel for this address? You left a p739 card but we cant find it." I said I gave it in so where it went after that I dont know. Thing is its the second time in the space of a week its happened! Although they did find it the first time around. How they missed it I dont know as it was the size of a tank!!! Problem is if it keeps happening its gonna look dodgy. What can I do if people are careless in the callers office?? i note down all the packets I bring back so I know it def came back. Any advice??

I had my manager phone me twice in my first week on the job asking me where recorded packets were on two seperate days as if they had went missing, had me worried I had lost them then both times phoned me back and said they had found them. Clearly need a better way of keeping things in order.

Get the person you hand the packets over to to sign the note of the packets.

If its anything like my office, its probably one of the idiots in the callers office writing the wrong name on the packet before it gets shelved

When I first started no-one showed me where to put the packets I brought back, and I put them in the wrong place and they ended up back at the mail centre lol.
