Indoor 'overtime'

Hi all, i probably know the answer to this, but here goes.Been at Royal Mail for over 3 years, 25 hour contract.From the first week ive done overtime including the indoor prepping of my walk and sometimes double prepping if the sickness level is high.RM are now saying that the indoor aspect of my ot is no longer available due to the full time staff coming in an hour early and shooting out the door well before their time.Guess im screwed?

But, get your own back, next time they ask you to do it say no, no and no!

why don't you ask your rep to call a meeting and explain to your colleagues what effect this is having on you part timers?

Tried that, and you get the usual.......'well you are contracted to 25 hours and thats all you should expect'.

Well P & L is coming soon so lets see how they like waiting for me, because i wont be leaving the office until 9.45 which is approximately an hour and a half later than they do at present

Oh and the office has an everyman/woman fr themselves attitude........more people use cars than bikes!

Nice rep,nice workmates,jobs a gooden.

Silver lining,watch them cry like babies when they have to work to their time after the revision is in.
Then you can tell them 'well you are contracted to 39/40 hours and thats what you should expect to work.'

I think you could be right...........its quite disheartening to know that some postmen are on their last bag before youve even started!

Same as my office then can't wait for park n loop some of the full times are in for a big wake up call
