No. A transit is too small to attract driving allowance. The vehicle needs to be 3.5t or more.

If you drive a transit van there is no driving allowance. However if you were in a driver prior to the way forward being agreed in 2000 you will be in receipt of. £6 per week reserved rights payment.

i am geting no driving allowence but there are 2 drivers that get 28 pounds a week driving transits from about 2003.my problem is that they get to choose the single driving driving duties before me although i have more seniority than them and was diesel trained before 1 of them.just does not seem fair.

Drives are usually ring fenced for those who get the driving allowance.

Bob,who has been in the job 30 years and suddenly becomes a driver,or goes back on a drive after 2000 does not pick over Joe,who is in receipt of the driving allowance and has only been in the job for 13 years.

PS:Those 2 drivers are getting too much,chances are managers are unaware,maybe the 2 opg's are unaware as well,but it's dodgy ground.
We've had this before on here,can't rem the exact outcome,not 100% whether when they got found out that they didn't have to pay it back as it was managements error.
