well then, our revision is never ending

today i get called into a side office by one of the planners and got a right earfull. he sat there crossed arms on the defence and point blanked stated i was not to be included in the revision process anymore. any questions were to be directed through the ir rep.

i reminded him i was the official unit health and safety rep he was bang out or order.
his resaponse was that as a manager

HE WAS TELLING ME to have no further action in the revision.

i then informed him that was an unlawful instruction and reminded him of the safety reps and safety committeess act 1977.

he then backed down and stated that my requests would still go through the ir rep on H & S issues.

he accused me of being an unatural influence on the IR rep and having my own agenda and if i wanted to take him on i would never win.

seems they are starting to get a bit of flack from above (delivery optimisation team) and they want the planners at other offices. but thats not my problem

I can tell you why without having any knowledge of what's going on...... They don't want people involved who will fight to/enforce them to stick to procedure..... They want a fudge not a fair revision and will oppose or as you are experiencing attempt to remove anyone who dares to challenge them...... Keep fighting Kid

Well it seems that anything that doesn't come under the IWT umbrella is considered to be ad hoc, in other words lets ignore it and it will go away. You see I was under the misapprehension that ad hoc referred to those things that were unusual and was dealt with on an "ad hoc" basis NOT daily routines that were carried out every day and should be apportioned time which is not happening apparently because those who have designed the plan don't really know their arse from their elbow and those who are given the responsibility of applying it are less than able to highlight the anomalies in the plan. If they do see it they seem too afraid to point them out. Has this organisation really turned into a bunch of lickspittles afraid of their own shadow?
